THE COSTUMES MADE BY MARITZULI KONPAINIA IN BIARRITZ
Claude Iruretagoyena and Jon Olazcuaga (Maritzuli Konpanina) are dancers, choreographers, researchers, designers and tailor. We benefit from their knowledge and their good job thanks to the accurate indication of Ane Albisu - another authority on the Basque traditional costume - to contact Claude.
JAUZARREA has created a Basque culture program to display it with PARKS CANADA at the National Historic Site of the Fortress of Louisbourg.

Today Amets Aranguren and Mirari Loyarte have been in Euskadi Irratia explaining the project "Unama'ki - Louisbourg", created by Jauzarrea with Parks Canada and the CBU (Cape Breton University), for the summer of 2019.
Today we have presented this program which begins next summer in the territory of Unama'ki (in Mi'kmaw language), which in English is known as Cape Breton Island, at the Orona Fundazioa Auditorium, in Hernani, Gipuzkoa.
We have been with Eddy Kennedy in the workshop of Maritzuli Konpainia, in Biarritz, with Claude Iruretagoyena and Jon Olazcuaga, in the first test of the costumes for the two students -Mirari and Amets- who will participate this summer, during July and August, in the program created by Jauzarrea with Parks Canada and Cape Breton University CBU. Mirari and Amets will be joining the 120 person staff of the Visitor Experience Team at the Fortress of Louisbourg at the end of June.
